While walking past Eglwys Faen, we met two random walkers, one of whom turned out to be the sister of someone I had gone to school with. They were interested in the caves in the area but had never stepped into one, so we took them into the Main Chamber of Eglwys Faen.

Scour holes in the stream. The stream bed is quite slippery here, and far from being fun, slippery holes can easily end up with a twisted limb.

Long helictite in Helictite Chamber.
-
Helictites.
-
Cracked stal in Turkey Streamway. This could have happened as a result of water washing out its support, breaking under its own weight, fracturing due to earthquakes or faulting, or due to ice fracturing.
-
Stalactite that looks like a hung pheasant. One of the stalactites looks more like a turkey, and gave the passage its name, but we couldn't find it.
