County Pot round trip 11/06/2023

Rippled clouds. The weather was spectacular, and this was not a day to be caving, we were all overheating by the time we reached the cave, and should have found a cold pool to swim in instead. The idea of putting on the sleeves of my oversuit felt like insanity.

After being too hot and not paying attention, I caught my tackle bags in the electron ladder on the 7 metre pitch in County Pot, unhooked my feet, and fell the last couple of metres, without significant damage. Resting in puddles for a while helped cool us all down to a normal temperature, and we started caving again. This is Mushroom Passage, just upstream of Toadstool Junction.

A detour from the usual route, via The Snake, a narrow meander. We missed the climb up, and went to the bitter end, then returned to find the climb, and complete the loop.
