West Wales Wanderings 2010
From the Lwchwr to the West Wales coast.
Rail bridge at Waungron, near Pontarddulais.
Remains of a motte and bailey castle.
The impressive Hendy Viaduct, crossing the river Llwchwr (Lougher), gateway to West Wales. Sadly, with all of the surrounding land being private, there is no good place to take pictures, except from the side of the nearby motorway.
Arches and colours of the riverbank.
View from the far side, which is sadly marred by a stupidly coloured pipe slung on the viaduct.
Lwchwr Estuary, with natural drainage channels.
Pond in the riverbank.
Penbryn Beach.
Carreg y Nodwydd stacks at Penbryn.
Limpet and pebble.
Stone contours, Hoffnant.
Flowers at Penbryn.
Dog roses.
Rainbow over Allt Hoffnant.
