North Wales trip 2003
A walk up Cadair Idris - most of this holiday is recorded on video, not stills
The ridge of Cadair Idris
The Snowdonia National Park, as seen from the Cadair Idris summit
Tarquin, Becci and Josie at the Cadair Idris summit
The double engined Earl of Meirionedd on the Ffestiniog Railway in Porthmadog
Snowdon - highest mountain in Wales at 1085 m (higher than anything is England, but not as high as the Scotish Highlands) - as seen from the Ffestiniog Railway in Porthmadog
Engine number 5 at the Corris Railway - one of the smallest railway engines in existence
Even the miniature trucks dwarf the engine
The engine shed at Corris where preservation work is done on the engines and carriages
The beautifully reconstructed miners' carriages at Corris
These faithful reproductions are built for the stature of the 1850's Welsh slate miners - about 5 foot (1.5 metres) - so it is impossible for most people to stand up straight in them
