Including waterfalls on Craig y Fro, Nant y Gerdinen, Afon Tarell and Blaen Taf Fawr.
From Cardiff, take the A470 past Merthyr Tydfil towards Brecon. Parking is at the Storey Arms parking area (SN 9867 1998), a small pull-in 1.5 km beyond it (SN 9746 2055), and a lay-by at the tight S-bend 500 m beyond it (SN 9719 2089).
The Blaen Taf Fawr and Afon Tarell segments start at the Storey Arms parking area. Head through the gate towards Corn Du, to the Taf Fawr bridge. Ignore the path and head upstream to a small gorge, with the waterfall at its head. Return to the parking area, and head northwest towards the Storey Arms. A track starts below it, heading down the right side of the valley. It soon passes over a stream. Head upstream to see the waterfalls on the Afon Tarell.
The Nant y Gerdinen segment starts from the pull-in, which is immediately after the stream's bridge. Head up the right bank until you reach the top waterfall, the largest of the waterfalls on the stream. Immediately above it is the Beacons Way path, running horizontally. Part way up, the stream splits into two branches that rejoin before the top waterfall. Perhaps follow one branch on the way up, and the other on the way down.
The Craig y Fro segment is everything else on the cliffs above the lay-by, most of which can be seen from the lay-by. Don't let that stop you from looking around though, as there are plenty of hidden cascades below the road, and tucked into corners. This area is particularly popular with ice climbers, as the streams regularly freeze in winter.
