Double Alpine butterfly variation 3

Double Alpine butterfly variation 3.

A knot normally tied on a bight. A variation of the Alpine butterfly knot which has two loops. However, this cannot be used as a bunny ears knot, and does not work for a Y-hang, because the loops come out opposite each other. Highly resistant to cross loading, and does not easily capsize. Each loop can be used to pull separately against each tail, and the two tails can be pulled against each other, without the knot capsizing. However, the length of the loops is quite difficult to adjust. There are almost no practical situations where this knot would be useful, so it is never seen, but it could be confused with the double lineman's loop and double Alpine butterfly variation 2, since they are all called by the same name.
